How to Find Your Correct Shoe Size in Nepal (EU, US and UK)

Aug 11, 2026•3 min read

Shoe sizing is inconsistent between brands and between countries, which is why "I am a 42" is not enough information to order confidently. Measuring takes two minutes and removes the guesswork.

How do you measure your foot properly?

  1. Do it in the evening. Feet swell through the day by up to half a size, and a shoe that fits at 9am can be tight at 6pm.
  2. Wear the socks you will wear with the shoes.
  3. Put a sheet of paper on a hard floor against a wall.
  4. Stand on it with your heel touching the wall, weight on the foot.
  5. Mark the tip of your longest toe — which is not always the big toe.
  6. Measure heel to mark in centimetres.
  7. Measure both feet. Most people have one foot up to half a size larger. Buy for the larger one.

The size guide has a diagram and the full conversion chart.

How do EU, US and UK sizes convert?

EUUSUKFoot length
3965.524.5 cm
4076.525.4 cm
4187.526.2 cm
4298.527.1 cm
43109.527.9 cm
441110.528.8 cm

Pomory sizes are EU. Note that UK sizing runs roughly one size below US.

What if you are between sizes?

Go up. Leather stretches slightly in width as it moulds to your foot, but it does not gain length. A shoe that is marginally long can be corrected with an insole; one that is short cannot be corrected at all.

How should a new leather shoe feel?

Snug across the ball of the foot, with the widest part of your foot at the widest part of the shoe. About a centimetre of room in front of your longest toe. Your heel should stay put when you walk — a little lift on the first wears is normal and disappears as the sole flexes.

What you should not feel is pressure across the top of the foot or pinching at the little toe. Leather softens; it does not fundamentally change shape.
